It’s easy to open your door and forget to lock it. With Door Alert, a new feature enabled by our smart sensors, Glue detects when your door is opened and sends you a notification if you don’t lock it after a period of time.

Imagine never wondering again whether your door is locked or unlocked. With the Glue app, you can easily see the status of your door.
Calibration
For our Lock Status and Door Alert features, it requires you to calibrate your lock in an open and closed position for the sensors to understand and record your door position. The more you use your lock, the more the smart sensors learn, and your status becomes more accurate.
Important: Make sure you bring your keys with you as you will be opening and closing your door whilst still in setup mode.
Calibration works by setting a default (locked and closed) position for the bolt and door, so the lock is able to self determine whether it is in those conditions.
How often should you calibrate your door?
The door should not be calibrated very frequently. Only in the instance where the lock has lost certainty over its state.
This can happen under the following circumstances;
- Lock loses power (battery replacement, extreme vibrations)
- Door position is lost by leaving door open for prolonged period of time, and left to gently swing
Under normal, everyday use the position of the door will not be lost.
